Summary
The documentation provides both Azure PowerShell and Azure CLI examples for network resource inspection and management, but PowerShell commands are consistently listed before CLI commands. There is a noticeable pattern of presenting Windows-centric tooling (PowerShell) first, which may subtly signal a preference for Windows environments. However, Linux-compatible Azure CLI examples are present for all critical operations, and the HDInsight cluster creation examples explicitly reference Linux clusters. No Windows-only tools or missing Linux examples are found.
Recommendations
- Alternate the order of PowerShell and Azure CLI examples, or present CLI examples first to better serve Linux/macOS users.
- Explicitly state that both PowerShell and CLI are supported on Windows, Linux, and macOS, and provide links to installation guides for each platform.
- Where possible, include Bash script examples for common tasks to further improve parity.
- Add a short section clarifying that all operations can be performed from Linux/macOS using Azure CLI.
